Welcome to camp week! This year, even though our usual camp had to be cancelled, that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate camp in a new way!

Each day of camp week, we will post something for you to participate in that maintains the spirit of camp!

We want you to participate and post to our facebook and instagram pages to share your experiences. You can go over to one of them now.

Awesome God |  10,000 Reasons | Jesus Loves Me

Announcements – I know it’s early, but be thinking of ideas for camper’s chapel (Tuesday) and Skit Night (Wednesday). We’re going to want to see your creative pictures or videos!

Monday, August 17

Bible Discovery Ephesians 4:32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Silly Campfire – Give a listen to the original Down by the Bay and comment back your own verse to add to the song!
PS – Just don’t post your junk in our backyard.

Announcements – Tomorrow for Camper’s Chapel, we’re looking to see the gifts that God has given you on display to give Him the glory!

Tuesday, August 18

One Utensil Meal – For a meal today, we want to see a picture of your struggle while using one utensil to eat with. Give yourself a challenge and have some fun!

Camper’s Chapel – The time has come! We want to see pictures, text, or video of your special talents! Let’s worship together and encourage one another with our praise to God! (Ideas: Singing, Playing an instrument, Design/Art, Poetry, Preaching, Acting, Skills, you name it…)

Announcements – Tomorrow, we’re looking to see your most creative content. Get ready for Skit Night 2020!
PS – “Remember, counselors, you must know what your cabin is doing. Let’s please honour God with our choices.”

Wednesday, August 19

Monk Meal – It’s time for the UB Camp Staff’s favourite meal! For a meal today, maintain silence for the entire time. I recommend using the time to pray for friends, family, and beyond.

James 5:16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. 17 Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years!

Skit Night – The stage is set! Post your skits, dances, jokes, or presentations of all sorts right here for all to see! Let’s honour God with our goofy selves and laughter!

Announcements – For tomorrow, please be thinking of some of your most treasured camp memories. You’ll have time to share them.

Thursday, August 20

Chopstick Meal – Grab some chopsticks and post a picture of you eating a meal today with them! No chopsticks? That’s fine, two pointy stick will work fine. Get creative!

Golden Broom – Attention all messy people–You know who you are. We need a picture of a mess. Then we need a picture of that mess cleaned up! We want transformation like Romans 12:2 here. Well, in the physical sense, at least!

Last Campfire – Comment back a brief story or memory of camp that has stuck with you through the years.

Friday, August 21

Letters To Self – We’re flipping this one around! Take some time to write a nice encouraging letter (or message, at the very least) to a person that you truly adore. Let them know why you love them. Don’t leave words unsaid with one another.

Friendship Circle – We don’t have to say goodbye, but let’s take some time to thank people around us for who they are and what they do. Not just talking about camp staff, but anyone! Post the names or groups that you are very thankful for!

Announcements – Thank you for participating in our first ever Camp Week! On behalf of the camp committee members, we love you and are excited to see you soon. Let’s keep in contact with each other and continue to sharpen each other in Christ, my friends.

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron,
so a friend sharpens a friend.
